Apprenticeship Training Scheme

Skilled students can pursue apprenticeship training in a variety of areas after finishing ITI. The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship's Directorate General of Training is implementing the Scheme with the goal that "Training delivered in Institutions alone is not adequate for skill acquisition and has to be reinforced with training in the actual work environment."

For individuals who took the AITT portion of the ITI final test, the apprenticeship training period is typically one year long. Typically, it takes three years for newcomers. The trainees receive a monthly stipend while they are in training.

Lateral Entry to Polytechnic Diploma Engineering

Engineering courses are offered in polytechnics that are AICTE-approved for a length of three years through admission exams that have different names in different states (JEXPO in West Bengal, JEEP in Uttarakhand, JEECUP in Uttar Pradesh, CG PPT in Chandigarh etc.). And after finishing the course, participants receive diplomas in a variety of fields. Those who have completed a minimum of a two-year ITI course and have earned a National Trade Certificate are eligible for lateral entrance into the Polytechnic diploma program's second year. Every year, the JEXPO and the VOCLET entrance test are held for this reason.
