The CUET PG Result and Score is valid only for the current academic year and cannot be used in further years. So the CUET PG 2024 Score is valid only for the academic session 2024 - 25. In case a candidate does not take admission to any college based on this score, they will have to re-appear for the test in 2025 for admission. However, the scores of this academic session will still be presented to the universities where the candidate had applied.
The CUET PG Scorecard will consist of marks obtained in the domain subject knowledge for each course. The university may draw the merit list based on the total CUET PG Score or just Section 1 of the domain subject knowledge. The decision is completely in the hands of the university.
Evaluation of MCQ test papers is carried out using the final answer key and the raw score is used to compute the CUET PG Result. However, for multiple shift papers in the CUET PG Exam, the raw scores are converted into a normalized score to avoid all kinds of bias and arrive at a fair decision.
Check the CUET Passing Marks
To check the CUET PG Result the candidate must log in to the official website using the registration credentials. The step-by-step procedure to check the CUET-PG Result is explained below:
In case a candidate cannot check their CUET Result on time and is unable to locate the link for CUET PG Result, they may follow the below procedure to check their result.
The CUET PG Scorecard has the following details mentioned:
The CUET PG Passing Marks are the set of marks upon which the test takers were able to get their names into the participating institutes of the CUET PG Exam 2024. To know if they have passed the CUET Exam or not, the candidates need to check the CUET-PG Cutoff released by the CUET PG Participating Institutes and Colleges.
After the declaration of the CUET Result, the institute will release the course-wise passing marks or the CUET UG Cutoff which will then be used for admission to CUET PG Courses.
To calculate the CUET PG Result and Score, the candidates first must be aware about the CUET Marking Scheme that is followed. Below is the CUET PG Marking Scheme.
Now using this marking scheme candidates need to follow the below procedure to know their CUET PG result and score:
The CUET Percentile Scores are the scores based on the relative performance of everyone who appeared in the examination. The marks obtained are transformed into a scale ranging from 100 to 0 for each session of examinees. The percentile score indicates the percentage of candidates who have scored equal to or below that particular percentile in the examination. Therefore, the topper for each session gets the same percentile as 100 which is desirable. These percentile scores are the normalized scores and are used to prepare the merit list. The formula to calculate the percentile score is represented below:
100 x No. of candidates who appeared from the session with raw scores equal to or less than the T1 score / Total no. of candidates who appeared in the session
The CUET PG Exam is conducted in multiple shifts. In this case, some candidates attempt a difficult question paper while some attempt an easy question paper. So to overcome this situation, the CUET PG Normalization Process comes into the picture. This is done to ensure that no candidate is benefitted or disadvantaged due to the difficulty level of the exam. This is an established practice to calculate scores across multisession papers and the NTA uses the percentile equivalence.
The CUET PG Normalization Process has been explained as a step-by-step procedure below:
In the first step, the candidates are distributed evenly in two sessions at random so that each session has an equal number of candidates. These sessions will be as - Session 1: Day 1 Shift 1, and Session 2: Day 1 Shift 2
In the event where the number of days is more or sessions is less, the candidates will be divided accordingly. This will ensure that there is no bias in the distribution of candidates who take the exam.
The examination result is prepared in 2 forms:
Let TP1 be the Percentile Score of the Total Raw Score for a student. Assuming this, we use the below formula:
TP1 = 100 x No. of candidates who appeared from the session with raw scores equal to or less than the T1 score / Total no. of candidates who appeared in the session
The final step in the normalization process is the compilation of the scores. The percentile scores of the total raw scores for all the sessions as calculated in step 2 will be merged and shall be called the NTA Score which will further be used for the compilation of results and further processing to decide the allocation.
Once the final CUET PG Result is announced, no grievances are entertained. The CUET PG Provisional Answer Key was released on the official website on the 5th of April and it could be challenged till the 7th of April 2024. The Final Results are prepared based on the suggestions and corrections received by various candidates. Once the objections are submitted, the authorities carefully review the same and only then release the CUET PG Final Answer Key. Once that is released candidates cannot submit any grievance. In addition to this, no scorecards are dispatched physically to the candidates. They must check and download the CUET PG Result online only through the official website.

The CUET PG Counselling is conducted separately for all institutes and the candidates can appear for only those colleges that they had opted for and filled out as the preferred choice in the application form.
Candidates are required to fill out the form for the counselling process of each institute individually and fill out the choice of courses or colleges, whichever is applicable. Then finally based on the eligibility, document verification, and seat availability the candidates will be allotted the seat.
The CUET PG Cutoff refers to the minimum qualifying marks that the candidates must score to get qualified or enrolled in a particular college or seat in one of the participating institutes of the CUET PG Exam. The participating institutes release the CUET PG Cutoff based on various factors such as difficulty level of the exam, availability of seats, and the number of test takers. The CUET Cutoff varies for each institute and is released separately by each participating institute.
