The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay) has started the online registration for IIT JAM 2026. Students can now apply for the Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM) using the official JOAPS portal at jam2026.iitb.ac.in.
The registration window is open from September 5, 2025, and will close on October 12, 2025.
IIT JAM is a national entrance exam that allows candidates to get into M.Sc., Joint M.Sc.–Ph.D., and Dual Degree programs at top institutes like IITs and IISc.
Steps to Apply
- Enter your name, email address, mobile number, and password to create an account on the JOAPS portal at jam2026.iitb.ac.in.
- Log in and fill in your personal and academic details.
- Add your signature, photo, and any necessary documents (such as your birth certificate or category).
- Pay the application fee online using cards, net banking, or UPI.
- Review everything carefully and submit your form.
Fee Structure
- For female, SC, ST, or PwD candidates: ₹1,000 for one test paper; ₹1,350 for two papers.
- For all other candidates: ₹2,000 for one paper; ₹2,700 for two papers.
Admit cards will be released around January 5, 2026, and the exam will be held on February 15, 2026, in two sessions, morning and afternoon. Results are expected to come out on March 20, 2026.
