For students who want to pursue a combined BBA+MBA immediately after Class 12, here's some good news now, IIM Shillong, has formally opened admissions for its Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) 2025–30 batch. This five-year program aims to make future geniuses who have experience in both academics and practical experience.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Age: Students born on or after July 1, 2005 should be the age of the candidates applying. SC/ST/DA candidates get a relaxation of 5 years, i.e., born on or after July 1, 2000.
- Academic Qualifications: A minimum of 60% in Class 10 and 12 is required, and 55% for SC/ST/DA applicants. Also, mathematics or applied mathematics is a must-subject that the students should have taken in their class 11 and class 12.
- Entrance Exam: For IIM Shillong to consider these scores when shortlisting candidates for the Personal Interview (PI) process, candidates must take the IPMAT 2025, which is conducted by IIM Indore.
Application Process:
The application form will be available online in the last week of May or the first week of June 2025. Applicants need to provide their IPMAT 2025 application number during the application process. The application fee is ₹2,000 normally and ₹1,000 for SC/ST/DA/EWS candidates, which will be non-refundable.
Selection Process:
- Shortlisting: Candidates will be selected for the PI process based on their IPMAT results.
- Personal Interview (PI): After being shortlisted, the next step is the PI, where the students will be judged based on different things like communication skills, knowledge, confidence, etc.
- Final Merit List: Taking into account the candidates' combined scores, including their IPMAT and PI results, a final merit list will be created.
Program Structure:
The IPM at IIM Shillong is structured into two segments: the first three years focus on foundational courses in management and liberal arts, leading to a BBA degree, followed by two years of advanced management studies culminating in an MBA. The program includes industry internships, social impact projects, and international immersion opportunities to provide holistic development.
