If you're planning to go for a postgraduate course at Delhi University, today is the last chance to complete your registration through the Common Seat Allocation System (CSAS) portal. The window closes on June 6, 2025, and no extensions have been announced; therefore, it’s important to complete the process before the deadline.
Fee Details: What You Need to Pay
The application fee varies depending on your category and course:
- General, OBC-NCL, and EWS candidates: ₹250 per program
- SC, ST, and PwD candidates: ₹100 per program
- Additional ₹100 for applicants under the Sports Supernumerary Quota
- ₹400 extra for those applying to BPEd, MPEd, MA Music, or MFA programs
Make sure to double-check the final amount before submitting your form to avoid errors or payments.
Special Notes for Some Programs and Quotas
Applicants opting for the sports quota or performance-based courses need to pay additional fees as mentioned. Also, some courses will only be conducted at the department level if there are fewer admissions in affiliated colleges.
For example, if less than 50% of seats are filled for MA in Punjabi, Urdu, Persian, or Arabic at college level, students will be shifted to the main university department. The transfer will be done automatically and based on merit.
New Curriculum Based on NEP 2020
From the academic year 2025–26, all DU postgraduate programs will follow the Postgraduate Curriculum Framework (PGCF), which is aligned with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. This brings more flexibility, interdisciplinary learning, and skill-oriented modules into the structure.
What’s New and What’s Gone
This year, Delhi University is introducing a new program—MA in Tourism Management—offered by the Department of Continuing Education and Extension. On the other hand, the MA Korean program will not be available for the current session.
