Women’s Christian College commenced its establishment in the academic year of 1915 and is an interdenominational women’s college in Nungambakkam, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Since its inception, the institute has been affiliated to University of Madras. It became a private autonomous institution in the year 1982 and the status was given the University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi. The college is known to providing quality education to women in the field of Arts, Science, and Commerce. Women’s Christian College is accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) with grade ‘A+’.

The infrastructure of the college is spread over an area of 20 Acres of land and provides all the basic amenities to its students. These facilities include Labs, Studios and Workshop, Information Resource Center, Telephone Booth and Xerox Center, Hostels, Bank & ATM, Auditorium and Seminar Halls, and Sports field.
The auditorium of the college is constructed with a capacity to accommodate almost 1000 members at a time. It was built up in the year 1978. It was designed with an excellent stage facilities and acoustics.
