The Trust's watchwords are "Dedication, Determination, and Distinction". Velammal Engineering College was founded in 1995-96 to provide superior education. It is a self-financed, non-minority institution affiliated with Anna University, accredited by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), and ISO certified.
