Admission Procedure of Different Courses at NIT Jamshedpur
Admission to the Undergraduate Programs
The National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur offers B. Tech program at the undergraduate level. The program is offered under 7 different specializations.
The candidates are primarily required to qualify JEE Main examination in order to be eligible for admission to B. Tech at NIT Jamshedpur.

Admission to M. Tech
The program is offered under 16 different specialization. The admission to M. Tech depends on candidates' performance in the qualifying examination.
- For admission to the M. Tech program, the candidates must have qualified GATE examination.
- A valid score in GATE examination would get students through the admission procedure.
- Candidates with a valid score in GATE examination must sit through CCMT (Central Counseling for M. Tech) counseling process.
Admission to M. Sc
The candidates seeking admission to M. Sc must visit the official website of JAM and get themselves registered.
- A valid score and rank in JAM examination is the sole method for admission to the M. Sc program offered by the institute.
- Candidates who have qualified JAM must appear in CCMN (Central Counseling for M. Sc) counseling procedure.
Admission to MCA
- Admission to MCA is done based on candidates' performance in NIMCET examination.
Admission to PhD
