Admission Procedure of IIM Bangalore

IIM Bangalore Courses offer various programs at the postgraduate level. These programs include Postgraduate Program in Enterprise Management (PGPEM), Postgraduate Program in Public Policy and Management (PGPPM), and Executive Postgraduate Program in Management (EPGP). There is another program offered at the research level i.e. Fellow Program in Management (FPM).

For PGP

  • Candidates seeking admission to PGP are shortlisted based on candidates’ performance in CAT examination conducted at the national level.
  • Shortlisted candidates are intimated via email for Personal Interview round conducted at the institute.
  • Before getting admission, the candidates are required to appear in and qualify Written Ability Test (WAT) on any of the topics provided by IIM Bangalore.
  • After having qualified WAT, the candidates are shortlisted for interview round.

For PGPEM

  • Candidates with a valid score in CAT/GMAT/GRE are eligible to apply for admission to PGPEM.

  • Candidates with a valid score in CAT/GMAT/GRE are eligible to apply for admission to PGPPM.
  • Candidates who have qualified the test conducted by IIM Bangalore are also eligible to apply for admission.
  • The shortlisting for admission is done based on candidates’ academic performance, work experience, quality of work experience, and score obtained by them in the entrance test conducted.
  • Interested candidates must possess a minimum of four years of work experience.

For EPGP

  • Candidates seeking admission to EPGP must possess a minimum of five years of experience after the completion of graduation.
  • For admission to EPGP, the candidates must possess a valid score in GMAT or GRE examination.

For FPM

The Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore offers Fellowship Program in Management at the research level. The candidates seeking admission must possess a master’s degree in the relevant field with at least 55% marks in aggregate.

  • Candidates seeking admission to FPM must have qualified GMAT/GRE/CAT/GATE/JRF (NET)/ IIMB Test. A valid score in any of the mentioned examination would help students get admission to FPM.

Minimum Educational Qualification

  • For admission to PGP, the candidates must have graduated in any field.
  • Candidates seeking admission to PGPEM must possess a bachelor’s degree in any discipline securing at least 55% marks in aggregate from a recognized university.
  • Admission to PGPPM requires graduation in any discipline with at least 55% marks in aggregate n 10th and 12th class.
  • For admission to EPGP, the candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate.

Application Procedure of IIM Bangalore

  • The candidates must apply online by visiting the official website of IIM Bangalore.
  • They must register themselves for admission.
  • After filling the application form, they must submit the form and make the payment when asked.
  • For FPM program, the application fee is INR 500 for the candidates applying with GMAT/GRE/CAT/GATE/JRF (NET) score while those, opting for IIM Bangalore Test are required to pay INR 1500.
