IIMB received the 'Asia Pacific HRM Congress Awards 2017' Award for being an Organization with Innovative HR Practices, in September 2017.

Rajbhasha Award

IIMB won the Rajbhasha Award for the year 2016-17 for the effective implementation of the Official Language, in July 2017.

Scholarship

Aditya birla scholarships

The institute also offers scholarships based on the academic status of the student. Following are the scholarships offered by IIM Bangalore:

  • Aditya Birla Scholarship - Merit based scholarships given to 1st and 2nd year PGP students. The scholarship amount is INR1.75 Lakh per student.
  • OPJEMS Scholarship - Merit based scholarships given to 2nd year students that too to first 10 toppers of 2nd year based on their academic performance in the first year can apply for online test conducted by OP Jindal Group. The scholarship amount is INR 1.50 Lakh. 
  • Citi Women's Leader Award - This scholarship covers second year's tuition expenses. Students from the top 25% of the batch at the end of the first year are shortlisted. 
  • Societe Generale Global Solution Centre India Scholarship - Means scholarship which covers tuition expenses in full. The cash prize it carries  is INR 50,000, a medallion, and a certificate. 
  • Siddhartha Padam Award - Given to PGP students on the director's merit list and get the highest CGPA in the Economics, Finance and Accounting. The cash prize of the scholarship is INR 50,000. 
  • IIMB PGP Alumni First Batch (1976) Scholarship - Given to differently abled female students of the college from PGP. It carries INR 75,000, a medallion, and a certificate. 
  • Runwal Education Trust Scholarship - Given to PGD students based on their academic performance in the first year and their financial need. The scholarship amount is INR 1,00,000, a medallion, and a certificate. 
  • Hindustan Unilever / T Thomas Scholarship - Given by Hindustan Unilever to one student of PGP second year. The scholarship amount is INR 1,00,000. 
  • Yes Bank Scholarship - Given to students who are among the top 20 students. The scholarship amount is INR 2,00,000.

Government Funded Scholarships

  • NTPC Scholarship Scheme - The scholarship amounts to INR 48,000 per year. Students belonging to SC/ ST/ PwD categories and are in their second year of management are considered eligible for it.
  • Ministry of Tribal Affairs Scholarship (ST) - This scholarship covers full tuition expenses for students of PGP first year belonging to Scheduled Tribes.
  • Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment Scholarship (SC) - This scholarship covers full tuition expenses for meritorious PGP first year students Scheduled Castes.
  • Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment Department of Persons with Disabilities (PwD) - A person with disability having more than 40% disability and a disability certificate by any competent medical authority. This is a means scholarship is 2,55,000 per year.
