The Admission procedure of Hassaram Rijhumal College of Commerce & Economics, mostly known as HR College, is followed by a few simple steps. The college offers various programs at Undergraduate and Postgraduate level. HR College Courses are offered under various specializations. Candidates seeking admission to any of the programs must ensure that they fulfill the minimum qualification required by the college. There is various Add on courses too, the candidates can apply for. These courses include Certificate, Diploma, and Advanced Diploma courses.
Minimum Educational qualification required
For Undergraduate program
- Candidates seeking admission to BMM, B. Com, B. Voc, Tourism & Hospitality management, and BMS must have passed senior secondary school in the field of Arts, Commerce or Science from Maharashtra Board of Higher education or from an equivalent board.
- For Add on courses under various specializations, the candidates must pass senior secondary school securing at least 70% marks and higher secondary school with at least 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized board.
- For M. Com, the basic requirement is to have a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce.
- While seeking admission to Ph.D. requires an M. Com degree with at least 55% marks in aggregate or an M. Phil degree.
Admission to Undergraduate program at HR College
- The programs offered at the undergraduate level are BMM, B. Com, B. Voc, Tourism & Hospitality Management, and BMS. These programs are offered under various specializations.
- For admission to any of the undergraduate programs, the candidates are shortlisted based on their performance in the last qualifying examination (Merit-based).
Admission to Add on programs at HR College
- The add on courses are provided under several specializations namely Advertising, Sales promotion & Sales Management, Tourism & Travel Management, and Tax Procedure & Practice.
- For admission, the candidates must qualify the written entrance examination followed by Personal Interview and Group Discussion round conducted by the university.

Admission to Postgraduate program at HR College
- M. Com is the only program offered by the university at the postgraduate level. Interested candidates can choose to pursue the course in two different specializations.
- Admission to M. Com is based on the candidates’ performance in the last qualifying examination i.e. at graduation degree level.
- The total sanctioned intake for M. Com program is 280.

Admission to Ph.D. at HR College
- Candidates seeking admission to the Ph.D. program are required to qualify UGC-NET/JRF/SET followed by Personal Interview round conducted at the university.
- Besides above-mentioned examinations, marks obtained by the candidates in Ph.D. Entrance Test (PET) conducted by the university can also be considered for admission to Ph.D.
- Candidates who possess M. Phil need not appear in the entrance examination.

Application Procedure of HR College
HR College of Commerce and Economics provides various programs at the undergraduate and postgraduate level. These programs are offered under various specializations. Admission to these programs is completely merit based and done based on candidates’ performance in these entrance examinations. Admission is decided as per the guidelines of Mumbai University.
Steps to Apply for Admission to HR College of Commerce and Economics
The admission process of the college is conducted in online mode. Interested candidates seeking admission to any of the programs offered by the college must register themselves. Below mentioned are the steps that one must follow for admission.
Step 1 – Visit the website of CollegeSearch i.e. https://www.collegesearch.in/.
Step 2 – Click on ‘Colleges’ and type college’s name in the search bar.
Step 3 – The college profile appears after clicking on ‘HR College of Commerce and Economics’.
Step 4 – Navigate to and click on ‘Request to Apply’ tab available on the top left of the page.
Step 5 – It will redirect you to the page where registration procedure takes place.
Step 6 – Enter your details such as Name, Mobile no., Email id, and the course you would want to apply for.
Step 7 – Registration process is complete, and a new page of suggested colleges appears where you can apply for any other college you might be interested in.

This college is the best college in the entire South Mumbai in terms of the people, teachers, faculty , events and festivals. It has a diversified culture and brings out the best of the students and advancing them in this corporate world. The faculty here ensures each and every student get what they need thus ensuring everyone’s requirements are met too! That’s really great about this college. I could just go on and on, But Here the experience is really great and ensures Exposure too.

Pros - discipline , punctuality,attendance are checked very strictly...paper is been checked by expertise faculty Cons- I couldn’t find any cons about it

HR College is a good college with experienced faculty. It has a very good cultural mix but the method of teaching is too theoretical with very little practical approach.
