Al-Ameen College of Pharmacy was established in the year 1983 by the Al-Ameen Educational Society in Bangalore, Karnataka. The college is approved by the Pharmacy Council of India and affiliated to the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore. The college was established to meet the needs of education in the city and of the minority Muslim community.
Al-Ameen Education Society is one of the biggest minority education societies that was founded by Dr. Mumtaz Ahmed Khan. The campus houses six colleges namely, Al-Ameen College of Pharmacy, Al-Ameen Arts, Science and Commerce Degree College, Al-Ameen Institute of Management Studies, Al-Ameen Institute of Information Sciences, Al-Ameen College of Law and Al-Ameen College of Education. The campus is spread over 6.35 acres of area in Hosur Road, Bangalore. Its associated with the Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India, Pharmacognosy Network Worldwide and Indian Journal of Pharmaceutical Education and Research.

Al Ameen College of Pharmacy offers diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate courses in pharmacy. Admissions to these courses are based on merit and last qualifying exam. Candidates applying for PhD courses will need to appear for a personal interview for admission.
