The Vidyadhan Plus 1 Scholarship Program, Meghalaya 2025, is an ambitious program initiated by the Sarojini Damodaran Foundation (SDF) to provide opportunities for meritorious students who come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds with funding for students coming out of Class 10, who would like to continue with their higher secondary education in Meghalaya (Class XI / XII).
Selected candidates will receive up to ₹10,000 per annum, which can be used for critical educational expenses, including tuition fees, books, and other educational materials.
Eligibility Requirements
In order to ensure the scholarship is awarded to the most deserving and talented students from underprivileged backgrounds, Sarojini Damodaran Foundation has specified the following eligibility requirements. Applicants must satisfy all of the requirements below if they are to be eligible for the scholarship:
An applicant must:
- Be domiciled in Meghalaya (i.e. Permanent resident of the state)
- Be actively pursuing educational studies in Class 11 or 12
- Have completed their SSLC/CBSE Class 10 examination in 2025 from a recognised school in Meghalaya
- Have at least 75% marks in SSLC (State Board) or 85% marks (or CGPA 9 and above) in CBSE Class 10 examination
- Have family income not exceeding ₹3,00,000 per annum from all sources.

Participating students will receive financial support of up to ₹10,000 per annum to help fund their academic journey, encouraging and empowering deserving students to avoid the stress of money when considering their education.

- Acknowledge and boost confidence: Being selected acknowledges the student’s effort and rewards children's self-esteem.
Documents Required
The following documents need to be submitted and are necessary for verification of eligibility and processing of the benefits application.
- Photograph – A recent passport-sized clear photograph of the student Framework-student.
- Class 10 ~ Marksheets - scanned copy of Marksheets (indicator of academic performance).
- Income Certificate - a scanned valid income certificate issued by a competent authority (note, we can not accept ration cards).
How to Apply
An interested student can follow these application process steps. All information must be correct and all documents must be submitted on or before the deadline.
Step 1: Fill in the Application – Complete the official application form with all required personal and academic information.
Step 2: Upload Documents – You are required to attach the documents they need from you. This includes your photograph, Class 10 marksheet, and income certificate.
Step 3: Verify Information – Check all information entered and all uploaded documents for accuracy.
Step 4: Submit the Application - When you have completed it, you must submit the application online or to the relevant office (as instructed).
Step 5: Confirmation of receipt – Be sure to save the confirmation for the application.
Step 6: Wait for a notification from the institution – Selected candidates will be notified via email, SMS or an official notice.
Important Dates
We recommend applicants keep an eye on the following important dates to avoid missing anything in the selection process. Each of these dates is firm and must be observed by applicants.
Application Date: 31 July 2025
- Submit the completed application form and accompanying documents.
Screening Test: 10 August 2025
- This is a preliminary test which will shortlist candidates for the next stage.
Interview/Test Dates: 17 August – 14 September 2025
- All shortlisted candidates will receive an invitation to attend an interview or test between these two dates.
Selection Criteria
The Sarojini Damodaran Foundation (SDF) takes a fair, thorough and methodical approach to identify deserving students. The selection of candidates can be based on the following criteria:
- Academic Performance - Marks in Class 10 shall be the main criteria to determine the shortlist.
- Correctness of application - All information entered in the application form must be factually correct and verifiable.
- Necessary documents - Students shall have verifiable, complete and authentic documents.
- Screening Test - Permitted shortlisted students must participate in an online screening test to evaluate their aptitude.
- Interview - Students may also be invited to an online interview to assess their need and suitability.
