Telangana's Department of School Education will release the TS TET Hall Ticket 2024 on May 15, 2024. Applicants who have applied for the TS TET 2024 exam can download the TS TET Hall Ticket by registering on the official website, with the requisite credentials. The Government of Telangana will distribute TS TET Hall Ticket 2024 in PDF format. The authority plans to conduct the TSTET 2024 exam online from May 20 to June 3, 2024.

The Telangana government has extended the date for submitting the TS TET Application Form 2024. Applicants could register and modify their TS TET application forms until April 20, 2024. Previously, the deadline to register for the TSTET 2024 exam was April 10, 2024. The Department of School Education of Telangana released the TSTET Application Form 2024 on March 27, 2024. Telangana's Department of School Education released the TS TET Notification 2024 on March 22, 2024. 

The TS TET 2024 exam has two levels: Paper 1 & Paper 2.  The TS TET Paper 1 is designed for primary teachers who wish to teach Classes 1–5, while the TS TET Paper 2 is designed for secondary teachers who wish to teach Classes 6–8. Candidates who wish to teach Classes 1–8 must take both papers. 

What is the TS TET 2024?

The Department of School Education, Government of Telangana, conducts the Telangana State Teachers Eligibility Test (TS TET) to determine the eligibility of applicants for appointment as teachers in Telangana State for Classes 1 through 8. The TS TET exam has two levels: Paper 1 and Paper 2. TSTET Paper 1 is for primary teachers seeking to teach classes 1–5, whereas TS TET Paper 2 is for secondary teachers seeking to teach classes 6–8. Candidates who wish to teach Classes 1–8 must take both papers.

TS TET Admit Card 2024

The Telangana state government will provide TS TET Hall Ticket 2024 on its official website on May 15, 2024. On the day of the exam, aspirants must bring their TS TET admit cards to the examination centres. Those who are caught without their TS TET admit card will be denied the opportunity to take the exam. In order to sit for the exam, candidates must download and bring their admit cards.

TSTET Application Form 2024

The Department of School Education has extended the TS TET Application Form for 2024 on its official website. Candidates could submit the TS TET Application Form until April 20, 2024. After properly filling out and completing the application form, candidates are advised to preserve a printed copy of the application, namely the confirmation page. Also, candidates should preserve the 'Candidate ID' number (created when they complete out the form) for future reference. Candidates should fill out the TSTET Application Form by following the processes outlined below:

TS TET Eligibility Criteria 2024

Before applying for the TS TET 2024 exam, applicants should confirm that they meet the TSTET Eligibility Criteria 2024 for educational requirements and age restrictions. The TS TET eligibility criteria vary for Paper 1 and Paper 2, as shown below:

TS TET Eligibility Criteria for Paper 1 (Classes 1-5)

Applicants applying for Paper 1 must meet one of the following criteria to be eligible for the TS TET.

  • Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC/Differently abled applicants) and pass in 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (BElEd), or 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
  • Senior Secondary with a minimum of 45 per cent marks (40 per cent for SC/ST/OBC/Differently-abled candidates) and pass in 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education or 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (BElEd) or 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education) in case of applicants who have passed or admitted to the DElEd/DEd course prior to the issue of guidelines (23-Dec-2015)
  • Graduate with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC/Differently abled applicants) and pass in Bachelor of Education (BEd)/ Bachelor of Education (Special Education).

TS TET Eligibility Criteria for Paper 2 (Classes 6-8)

Applicants applying for Paper 2 must meet one of the following criteria to be eligible for the TS TET.

  • Applicants must have a BA/BSc/BCom with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC/Differently Abled) and a Bachelor of Education (BEd) or Bachelor of Education (BEd Special Education) degree.
  • BA/BSc/BCom with at least 50% marks (40 percent for SC/ST/OBC/Differently abled applicants) and pass in Bachelor of Education (BEd)/ Bachelor of Education (BEd Special Education) in case of candidates who have passed or admitted to BEd previous to the publication of guidelines (23-Dec-2015).
  • Four-year BAEd/BScEd with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC/Differently abled students)..
  • BE/BTech with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC/Differently abled students) and passed or appearing in Bachelor of Education (BEd) or BEd (Special Education).

TS TET 2023 Eligibility: Other Conditions

  • There is no age limit for applying to the TS TET 2024 exam.
  • Candidates in the last year of BEd exams/Diploma in Elementary Education are also eligible to apply for TS TET 2024.
  • A candidate's diploma/degree course in teacher education should be accredited by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). 
  • Candidates with a diploma in education (special education) or BEd (special education) must have a course recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). 
  • Alternatively, an intermediate qualification from the Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) of Telangana or an equivalent recognized by BIE is required. Only Telangana State will be considered.
  • There is no limit to the number of attempts a candidate can make to obtain a TS TET certificate.

TS TET 2024 Exam Exemption

The TSTET 2024 examination is not required for upper primary and primary teachers appointed by the local authority or government by NCTE. Applicants who have not been appointed by the government or other authorities must take the TSTET 2024 exam. Candidates working in private schools will need to take the TS TET 2024 exam.

TS TET 2024 Examination Pattern

The TS TET Exam Pattern defines the structure of the question paper. The TS TET Exam Pattern 2024 alters between Papers 1 and 2. See the highlights of the exam pattern below.

  • The TS TET exam consists of 150 objective-type Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) in both Paper 1 and Paper 2.
  • Each paper consists of 150 marks. A TS TET paper must be completed within 150 minutes (two hours and thirty minutes).
