Samsung Solve for Tomorrow India 2025 is a nationwide innovation competition designed to cultivate young minds aged 14 to 22. Offered by Samsung India in collaboration with the United Nations in India, IIT Delhi, the Foundation for Innovation & Technology Transfer (FITT), and the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology, the program aims to cultivate creative thinking and practical problem-solving skills in students.
This year's competition participant, school students, and individuals can participate as it is divided into two categories:
- School Track - "Solving for India": for young minds. These students aged 14-17 build solutions geared toward developing "Community and Inclusion", focusing on enhancing the lives of people in marginalized communities, improving access to health services, and promoting inclusiveness in development generally.
- Youth Track - "Solving for the World": for you who are 18-22, in terms of the topic environment and sustainability, for example, we are looking specifically for innovative ideas that help in reducing our negative impact on the environment, preserve natural resources, and work towards an overall ecological balance.
Finalists have the possibility of winning grants up to ₹25 lakh, alongside mentorship, exposure, and some other exciting prizes.
Eligibility Requirements
Samsung Solve for Tomorrow India 2025 offers young innovators the chance of turning their ideas into reality. To guarantee fair opportunity for all, however, applicants must regard these specific age and nationality requirements.Eligibility will differ depending on track (School or Youth) chosen.
- Has to be an Indian citizen;
- Aged 14–17 years old as of 30 May 2025 in the School Track.
- Aged 18-22 years old as of 30 May 2025 in the Youth Track.
- Participants must register by themselves (no team submissions unless otherwise indicated).
- To have an enthusiasm for solving everyday problems through innovation.
Program Benefits
A number of participants through the different stages of Samsung Solve for Tomorrow India 2025 will receive funding and recognition to develop their innovative solutions and to help them scale it. Benefits will be awarded based on the phase and track of the competition.
For School Track
- ₹20,000 prototype development grant for each of the top 10 teams in phase 2
- ₹1,00,000 prototype enhancement grant for each of the top 5 teams in phase 3
- ₹25,00,000 prototype development grant to the winning team in phase 4
For Youth Track
- ₹20,000 prototype development grant for each of the top 10 teams in phase 2
- ₹1,00,000 prototype enhancement grant for each of the top 5 teams in phase 3
- ₹50,00,000 in seed funding and incubation support for the winning team in phase 4
Additional Awards
- Goodwill Award: ₹1,00,000 for the finalist team with highest audience poll score
- Social Media Champion Award: ₹50,000 for the team with highest social media engagement

To be a competitor in the Samsung Solve for Tomorrow India 2025, the application form must be duly filled. The applicant has to ensure that he/she has uploaded the correct document with no errors; otherwise, he/she may be disqualified.
- A complete application form with personal and project details.
- Proof of Age (such as the birth certificate, school ID, or government-issued ID).
- Proof of Indian nationality (such as the Aadhaar card, passport, or voter ID).
- Consent from Parents/Guardians for applicants who are younger than 18 years.
- Declaration of originality stating the idea that he or she submitted is the original work of the applicant.

Selection Criteria
AllEntries submissions will undergo a rigorous multi-stage selection process for innovative and impactful solutions. Submitters will have their entries reviewed by an expert team from the Foundation for Innovation & Technology Transfer (FITT) – IIT Delhi through several rounds focusing on the relevance of the problem being solved and the implementability of the proposed idea. A team of experts will assess submissions through a jury featuring industry leaders from Samsung that will take part when making their decisions.
Submissions will be evaluated on this criteria:
- Significance and social impact of the problem being solved
- Originality and implementation of the proposed solution
- Technical expertise and capability of individual/team
- Market readiness and evaluability for scaling
- Articulation and strength of commercialisation strategy
