Table of Content

The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is one of the most anticipated exams for students aspiring to become lawyers. Thousands of students every year fight for limited seats in National Law Universities (NLUs) so it is a bit of a competitive entrance exam. The NLU seat matrix through CLAT 2026 will be around 4092 seats for UG programs and 1599 seats for PG law programs.

This figure might grow a little more when we consider supernumerary, NRI, and special category seats, so students will still get some more chances. Yet, the total seat numbers for NLUs might vary from one NLU to another. NLU seat matrix also depends on reservation priorities for every seat category SC, ST, OBC, EWS, PwD, and domicile.

The NLU 2026 seat matrix will enable students to get a glimpse of real-time targets, strategize their first choices, and make informed decisions throughout the counselling process. Refer to the following to learn more about the NLU seat matrix 2026 through CLAT.
