NEET 2025 Marks Vs Rank: Check Current & Previous Year Trends

The NEET marks vs rank analysis is important for estimating a student's potential for securing a seat in one of the medical colleges in India. The official data for NEET marks vs rank will be out after the NEET result is announced. The NEET examination for the year 2024 has garnered unprecedented competition with more than 24 lakh candidates competing for it.

The highest NEET score, which is 720 out of 720, was achieved by some candidates, while the vast majority who scored approximately around 650 were placed above the 2000 rank mark suggesting extreme concentration in the upper few percentiles. There is a striking trend that is noted which is the difference with respect to marks as little as 5 to 10 in the 500 to 650 range can change the rank by several thousand. For example, in NEET 2023, a score of 635 was associated with an 8000 rank, whereas 645 was in the region of 5000s.

Moreover, state-wise cutoffs and category-based differences greatly impact the actual seats allotted to them for colleges whether it is in the given state or otherwise making actual raw ranks just one part of the puzzle. It is thus, all the more important to understand how marks in NEET correlate with All India Rank for a more tactical and efficient college choice list formulation.
