Detailed Description

1. Reading Comprehension

Two unseen passages (factual, descriptive, narrative, or discursive)

Students will be tested on their ability to read, understand, and interpret unseen texts. The passages may include articles, stories, or reports. Questions will check vocabulary, inference, central ideas, and logical sequencing. One passage may have short-answer type questions, while the other may include note-making or summary writing.

2. Creative Writing Skills

- Notice writing - Poster writing - Classified and Display Advertisements - Formal and Informal Invitations with replies - Letters (to the editor, job applications, formal official letters) - Article, Report, and Speech writing

This section develops communication and expression skills. Students will learn to write notices and posters with clarity and conciseness. Letter writing includes both formal and job-related applications. Creative tasks like speeches and reports assess coherence, logical flow, and proper use of language. Word limit and format are to be strictly followed.
