LPU MBA Placement Process Explained
There are two kinds of placement drives in LPU - Joint Placement Drives and Normal Placement Drives. For Joint Placement Drives, two or more universities/colleges, together with LPU, holds the drive and students from those universities can participate in the placement process. For Normal Placement Drive organized by LPU, the minimum eligibility criteria for getting registered in placements in LPU is 5.0 CGPA (50%).
There is a fee of Rs 6000 (for other than Computer Science Engineering Branches) and Rs 8000 ( for Computer Science Engineering Branch) for the batch of 2020. Additionally, an amount of Rs 2300 is charged from students for the blazer (with LPU logo) and pants. Placement preparation courses are also conducted for placement registered students on Saturdays, where analytical skills, soft skills and course-related topics are conducted, also mock interviews are conducted. The placement registered students are given AMCAT, Co-Cubes (paid access) to enhance their skills.
LPU has an app where all the details of the upcoming companies are displayed to the registered students and students can register/deregister for the respective company. All placement information is also displayed there, such as CTC, location of the job, etc. For every course, the placement begins from the pre-final year; for instance, a student is studying a 4-year course, then the placement chance will begin from the 3rd year. There are different terms and conditions policy for the placements, such as one student can deregister up to 10 companies maximum (+1/-1).
LPU MBA Eligibility Criteria
- If you are a student looking to take admission into the LPU MBA, you need to have at least 55% marks in your graduation. In addition to the marks, you need to pass and get a good score in the entrance exams, namely LPUNEST, CAT, MAT, XAT, or CMAT.
- Applicants must also clear a Video Essay and Interview. Those with CS, CA, or CMA qualifications can apply without an entrance exam but must complete the interview process.
- A 5% relaxation is given to candidates fromthe North-East, Sikkim, Defence backgrounds, and Kashmiri migrants. LPUNEST can be taken online (remote proctored) or at a test center.
