The JoSAA counselling has started (June 3) on the official website, and the candidates with rank in JEE main or JEE advanced can apply for the counselling registration. Candidates are expected to complete the process including the JoSAA mock seat allotment by June 12, 2025. The JoSAA counselling will last for 5 rounds and the candidates must keep their documents ready for reporting.

Important Guidelines for Uploading Documents

While uploading the JoSAA counselling required documents candidates must follow the below guidelines to ensure safety and legitimacy.

  • Ensure legibility and clarity of all scanned documents.
  • Upload files in PDF format unless otherwise specified.
  • Keep backup copies in cloud storage and email.
  • Use JoSAA-prescribed formats where required (available on the JoSAA website).
  • All documents should be scanned clearly and legibly.
  • PDF format is generally preferred for documents; JPEG for photos.
  • Use standard naming formats like Class10_DOB.pdf, Category_SC.pdf, etc., to avoid upload errors.
  • Document size limits can vary slightly depending on the portal's update. Try to keep all PDF files under 1 MB unless otherwise specified.
  • For OBC-NCL and EWS, make sure the certificate is issued after April 1, 2025 and is in JoSAA format.
  • If any document is not in English or Hindi, a certified translated version must also be uploaded.
  • Upload all documents clearly, ensuring no cropping, blurring, or overlapping of information.
  • Candidates should keep hard copies of all documents ready for physical verification at the time of institute reporting.

What If a Document Is Missing or Rejected?

If any document is missing, unclear, or incorrect, JoSAA will respond and the following must be done within a set limit.

  • JoSAA may raise a query during online verification.
  • Candidates will be required to respond by re-uploading or clarifying within the specified timeline (usually 1–2 days).
  • Failure to respond may result in seat cancellation.
