The Joint Admission Committee (JAC) Chandigarh has officially started the choice locking process for Round 1 counselling, which would be carried out from 9th July 2025 to 10th July 2025 for all the candidates. This is a very important step for all those who wish to be admitted into BE/BTech courses of the colleges that are affiliated, like UIET Chandigarh, UIET Hoshiarpur, UICET, PEC, and CCET. After submitting their choice of college and branch successfully, the candidates now require locking and saving their choices by the given time.
After finalization, these choices shall remain final for Round 1 seat allotment, to be announced on July 12, 2025. The candidates are requested strictly to review their choices carefully since choices cannot be modified once the locking time has passed. Candidates who do not follow this timeline will not be eligible for Round 1 seat allotment. Option locking is made available through the JAC Chandigarh website through registered login details. This is done to ensure transparency and fairness in the allotment process so that the system can allot seats based on locked choices and merit ranks. Further details giving the step-by-step process and instructions required are given.
