ICCR Yuva Mitra Prize 2025

The ICCR Yuva Mitra prize 2023 instituted by the Indian council for cultural relations (ICCR), Government of India, is intended to recognize and promote the ongoing work of young scholars, artists, writers, and cultural enthusiasts associated with ICCR and who are actively engaged in promoting India's rich cultural heritage. The prize money for awardees will be up to ₹30,000, and also include a certificate of recognition, as well as the opportunity to present their work at ICCR events.

Eligibility

In order to be eligible for the ICCR Yuva Mitra Prize 2025, the basic criteria must be met, this prize is opened to young people who promote Indian culture creatively using different media. Candidates must be connected with ICCR and demonstrate a continuation of contribution/inclusivity to the appropriate culture (the right command).

Eligibility arrangements:

  • Must be an ICCR scholar
  • Should be involved in promoting Indian culture
  • Must be an active participant in the cultural, artistic or literary scene on social media.
  • Recently showcased relevant work (existing in given period of time) within the last 6 months.
  • Must follow all ICCR official social media handles.

The ICCR Yuva Mitra Prize 2025 provides the young cultural ambassadors a platform for national recognition, for its promotion of the culture and heritage of India. In addition to cash prizes, there are also prestige prizes, as well as opportunities for connecting with the cultural space. Documents Required

Applicants must upload and submit the following documents as part of their application for the ICCR Yuva Mitra Prize. These documents serve as proof of eligibility and highlight the applicants' contributions towards Indian culture. As the application is based on merit and completeness, incomplete submissions may result in disqualification.

  • Copy of ICCR Scholarship Certificate and Scholar Id
  • Portfolio of artistic, literary or cultural activities
  • Valid identity proof (i.e., passport, Aadhaar, etc.)
  • Official proof of being an active ICCR Scholar (i.e., a letter of enrollment, letter of participation, etc.).

Selection Criteria

There are two stages in the selection process for the ICCR Yuva Mitra Prize. The first stage involves a Screening Committee which will shortlist the Top 10 Entries from submissions each year. The Screening Committee will consider merit and cultural impact, and will produce a shortlist of 10. After the Screening Committee has created the shortlist, a Jury Panel, made up of Senior Officials from the ICCR, will select the Supreme.

  • Program Director (Chairman)
  • Program Officer (Member)
  • Media Consultant (Member)

Jury Panel (Final Selection of Winners):

  • Director General, ICCR (Chairman)
  • Deputy Director General, ICCR (Member)
  • Two Directors from the ICCR (Members)
  • One Member from the Administration/Finance Section.
