Goa SSC Syllabus 2025-26 has been released online at gbshse.in. You can find the syllabus PDF for the main subjects included in the curriculum. There are a total of 5 main subjects included in the Goa SSC curriculum, namely a first language subject, followed by a second language subject, and then Mathematics, Science, and Social Science. You can also choose one elective subject, such as Fine Arts. Each subject will carry 100 marks, which are divided into theory and practical papers. The language papers, followed by Mathematics and Social Science, will be conducted for 80 marks, while 20 marks are allotted for the internal assessment.

The theory paper for Science will be conducted for 70 marks, while 30 marks are allotted for the practical paper. 1. Real Numbers

- Euclid’s Division Lemma- Fundamental Theorem of Arithmetic- Revisiting irrational numbers- Rational and irrational roots

Students will learn about properties of integers, divisibility, and application of Euclid’s division lemma to solve problems. The chapter strengthens the foundation of number theory and helps understand how real numbers are structured.

2. Polynomials

- Zeros of a polynomial- Relationship between zeros and coefficients- Quadratic polynomials- Graphical representation

Focuses on different types of polynomials and their behavior. Students understand the graphical significance of polynomial functions and how the zeros relate to coefficients, aiding in algebraic problem-solving.

3. Pair of Linear Equations in Two Variables

- Graphical method- Substitution method- Elimination method- Cross-multiplication method- Applications in real-life

This unit deals with solving simultaneous linear equations using multiple methods. It improves analytical and logical reasoning and is widely applied in practical life situations like business and economics.

4. Quadratic Equations

- Standard form of quadratic equation- Factorization method- Completing the square- Quadratic formula- Applications

5. Arithmetic Progression (AP)

6. Triangles (Geometry)

- Similarity of triangles- Criteria of similarity- Areas of similar triangles- Pythagoras theorem and its converse

Covers concepts of similarity and congruence in triangles. The Pythagoras theorem is studied in depth with applications. The unit helps students develop logical reasoning in geometry.

7. Coordinate Geometry

- Distance formula- Section formula- Midpoint formula

Deals with the Cartesian plane and geometric representation of algebraic problems. Students can calculate distances, midpoints, and sections of lines, which builds connections between algebra and geometry.

8. Introduction to Trigonometry
