DTE MP Counselling - In June 2024, The Directorate of Technological Education (DTE), Madhya Pradesh will declare the DTE MP B in 2024. The common merit list will be released in July 2024. Candidates must expect all the important DTE BTech admission 2024 dates to be released on the official brochure.
The Directorate of Technological Education (DTE) Madhya Pradesh (MP) is accountable for conducting Madhya Pradesh B.E Admissions. Distinguished from others, the MP B.Tech admission process is completely based on the merit of the candidates in the entrance exam. For aspirant students, the DTE MP/BTech counselling schedule has been released in Online mode. DTE MP Counselling Admission Process
- A few days prior to the commencement of the B.E/BTech online admission process in Madhya Pradesh, DTE MP publishes an official information brochure that holds all the information about MP B.E/B Tech admissions.
- Candidates are required to check the instructions before submitting an online application form for B.E/BTech admission in Madhya Pradesh.
- For the year 2024, the DTE will release the DTP MP BTech admission brochure in online mode.
DTE MP Counselling - Admission and Selection Process 2024
For DTE MP counselling the BE admission procedure involves different stages. The admission process in B.E is completely based on merit, preparation of a merit list or rank list, and declaration of opening and closing ranks are a few of the steps involved in the admission process.
The B. E admission of Madhya Pradesh process is divided into two categories -
- Madhya Pradesh B.E Admission Procedure through JEE Main
- Madhya Pradesh B.E Admission Procedure through 10+2 Mer
Madhya Pradesh B.E Admission Procedure through JEE Main
- In DTE MP Counselling Process, if a candidate wants to seek admission in B.E., the JEE main score is an important criterion for them. DTE MP will come up with a different merit list of candidates, who have registered for B.E admissions with a valid score.
- The common merit list/rank will hold the name of the candidate, his/her category, order of merit, and most importantly the JEE Rank. Selected candidates will be considered for the seat allotment.
Madhya Pradesh B.E Admission Procedure through 10+2 Merit
Candidates who don’t have an accurate JEE Main score can seek B.E admission in Madhya Pradesh through 10+2 merit. For those candidates, DTE MP will release a separate merit list for 10+2 pass-outs. The selected students will be called for seat allotment subject, according to the availability of seats in selective colleges and courses.

Note: Only candidates who participated in the online counselling session organised by DTE MP for B.E admissions will be called for the admission process.
Entrance Exams Accepted by Madhya Pradesh Engineering Colleges 2024
Every engineering /B. E college in MP accepts JEE main score for their B.E admissions.
The aspiring candidates must hold an accurate score to secure their seats. For 12th pass-out students, they are also eligible for Madhya Pradesh B.E admission. DTE MP released a different merit list for JEE Main candidates and qualifying exams.
MP B.E candidates must appear for JEE Main to have a higher admission chance. Candidates with an accurate rank can apply for admission.

Step 1- DTE MP 2024, Registration and Online Verification of Documents
The eligible candidates are required to register and get their mandatory documents verified. After Registration and verification of documents for MP BE, the counselling session begins in online mode. Interested candidates who registered themselves and got their documents verified will be given an online slip.
However, for candidates who have registered themselves but not get their documents verified will be given a registration slip only.
Also, these candidates are required to visit the campus to verify their documents in person.
Documents required for MP DTE Counselling 2024
Documents required by a candidate to submit for verification are mentioned below-:
- Class 10 and 12 mark sheet
- If applicable, MP domicile certificate
- If applicable, Reserve category certificate
- Family income certificate
- Aadhar Card
- Other essential documents
Step 2- Candidates are required to do choice filling and fee payment
Once the above step is completed successfully, candidates will be asked to submit their choice of colleges according to their preference.
Candidates are required to ensure they lock their choices once filled.
Once choices are submitted, candidates are required to pay the necessary fee, a nonrefundable, MP BE 2024 counselling and part tuition fee. The payment mode can be either online through Paytm, Credit/Debit card, or net banking or offline mode by through cash at the help centre.

Step 3 - MP STE Seat Allotment 2024
According to the common merit list, availability of seats, and choice filing, candidates will be assigned seats in the MP BE 2024 participating institutions. Authorities will release the seat results for JEE Main 2024 qualified students. From the official website, the candidates can download their seat allotment letter.
If students need to download their MP BE 2024 seat allotment letter, they must log in to their counseling portal using their roll number/ application number, date of birth, round number, and password
Step 4- Selected candidates who will be offered seats, will have to report at an allotted institution, to get their documents verified. Also, they have to pay the admission fee at the institution to confirm their MPBE 2024 admission.
What after the MP DTE Seat Allotment 2024?
Once a seat is allotted to a candidate, they will have two options to choose from. The selected candidate can choose any option from the options mentioned below.
Option 1- Upgrade the seat: If any candidate is not satisfied with the seat allotted to them, they have the option to upgrade it. However, this option is only open for candidates who applied based on JEE Main 2024 results. Candidates who applied based on the qualifying exam are not eligible for this option.
Option 2- Internal Branch Sliding: After a seat is allotted to the candidates, they can go for internal branch sliding in the same institute, keeping aside the drop-out seats. If one wants to choose this option, they are required to pay Rs 100 as a portal fee.
