The following article explains the two routes in which Delhi University has started its 2025 admission, this article covers the following things:
- CES Admissions (July–December 2025): Great for upskilling or learning out of interest. You are allowed to enroll for individual papers, like a new hobby, without committing to a degree.
- CSAS UG Admissions: Based on CUET-UG 2025 scores. There are many rounds of seat allocation, the system is preference based, and the timelines are also strict.
- CSAS PG Admissions: The admissions are done based on CUET-PG 2025 scores. Even students with ERs can apply, there are some conditions so do check it out.
- Deadlines Matter: For both CES and CSAS, the deadlines are important as DU is known for keeping tight deadlines.
- We will also see some new developments in CSAS and CES.
1. CES (Competence Enhancement Scheme) – July to December 2025 Session
DU’s CES is for you if you’re someone who wants to study without going through the regular full-time degree program. It’s open to everyone, students, professionals, homemakers, anyone who meets the basic eligibility for a subject.
- Who Can Apply?
Anyone who fulfills the paper-specific pre-requisites. People of all ages are free to apply as there is no age limit. - When to Apply?
Applications are open from July 24 to July 29, 2025, make sure to apply between this timeline as again, DU is strict with deadlines. - When Do Classes Begin?
Classes start from August 1, 2025. - What’s On Offer?
You can choose papers from semester I, III, or V in different colleges or departments of DU. But remember, it depends on seat availability. - What Makes It Different?
Seats are supernumerary, which means they don’t take away from regular students. It supports NEP 2025’s idea of flexible and lifelong learning.
So if you’ve ever wanted to try something new without going for the full degree course then CES is your opportunity.
2. CSAS – The Central Admission System for DU’s Regular UG & PG Courses
This is DU’s main admission process for full-time UG and PG programs. For CSAS everything goes through a proper procedure and the scores matter for admission, this is done in multiple rounds.
