Coaching by Private Institutes for All India Services Civil Services Examination" is a government run flagship program, which was started on 12th September 2013 by Tribal Welfare and Scheduled Caste (SC) Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh. This is a scheme for assisting Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates by providing them financial assistance and quality education for Civil Services Examination conducted by UPSC on behalf of a respectable private coaching institute. 

The scheme fulfills the gap of availability in elite coaching institutes, as the scheme provides academic and training support to prospective ST aspirants to enable them to successfully compete for allotting All India Services their opportunity including IAS, IPS, IFS etc. The scheme not only covers the tuition fee for the coaching classes but assists in the educational and professional needs of marginalized communities.

The Coaching by Private Institutes for All India Services Civil Services Examination scheme allows the ultimate financial and educational support to Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates. In order to relieve the financial burden of competing in an examination, the scheme offers funds to bear coaching or training fees, study material, lodging, etc.

Coaching Fee Coverage

Up to ₹2,00,000/- or actual fee (whichever is lower) paid directly to empanelled institutes in Delhi.

Book Grant (One-Time)

₹15,000/- credited directly to the candidate’s bank account for purchasing study materials.

Monthly Stipend

₹12,500/- per month for up to 18 months, based on attendance and active participation.

Living Support (Transport, Housing, Food)

Additional ₹12,500/- per month, also paid directly to the candidate’s account.

Eligibility Criteria 

To be eligible for the Coaching by Private Institutes for All India Services Civil Services Examination (Scheduled Tribes) scheme by Madhya Pradesh, applicants must meet the following requirements:

 Resident of Madhya Pradesh: The applicant must be a native or permanent resident of Madhya Pradesh.

Scheduled Tribe: Only applicants from the Scheduled Tribe (ST) community are eligible. 

Income Limit: Family income from all sources should be less than or equal to ₹6,00,000 per annum.

Educational Qualification: Candidate must have completed Graduation Degree in any stream.

Merit: Candidates must be selected on merit in Arts, Commerce, Science, Engineering, or Medicine.

No Prior Utilization: The applicant must not have reclaimed benefits from this scheme in the past.

Mandatory Registration: Candidates must create a profile in the MPTAASC portal (Madhya Pradesh Tribal Affairs and Scheduled Castes Department; http://www.mptaascc.gov.in)

Age: Age of the applicant must be in accordance with the UPSC eligibility guidelines for the year of the Civil Services Preliminary Examination.

Reservation and Priority Criteria for Coaching Scheme(Scheduled Tribes)

Quotas for Low-Income Students:

  • Within the coaching scheme, a separate 5% of reserved seats will be reserved for needed and promising candidates from low-income families to ensure that financial limitations do not stifle talent. 

Prioritization:

  • Candidates who pass the Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) Civil Services Main Examination within 3 years prior to the release of the Selection Committee list will be prioritized in selection, due to demonstrated promise and dedication.

Step-by-Step Registration Guide

Visit the Official Portal

  • Go to the MPTAAS portal pertaining to Tribal Affairs and Scheduled Caste Welfare of Madhya Pradesh.

Start New Beneficiary Registration

  • Proceed to click on the “New Beneficiary Profile Registration” link to start your application.

Complete the Application Form

  • Provide all information requested in the compulsory sections marked with an asterisk (*) including their personal, educational, and contact details.

Upload Required Documents

  • Upload scanned copies of relevant identity documents, educational certificates, income proof documents and other documents 

Submit your Application

  • After correctly filling in their details and all required documents, candidates must click the submit button.

Receive Registration Number

  • After successful submission and payment (if necessary), candidates will receive a Registration number. This number can be used for tracking purposes.

How To Access the MPTAAS Portal for Applying to the Coaching Scheme (Scheduled Tribes)  

To submit an application for the Coaching Scheme under Scheduled Tribes, candidates are required to first login to the Madhya Pradesh Tribal Affairs & Scheduled Caste Welfare Automation System (MPTAAS) portal for the first time. Please follow these procedures:

  • Open the official website of MPTASS Portal.  
  • For a First-time user Select “New Beneficiary Profile Registration” option available on the Home Page.  
  • Provide all the required information and complete all prerequisites such as documents. 
  • Submit your application and make sure you keep the noted registration number safe in order to track it later.
