The CLAT 2026 exam is set to take place on 7th December 2025. The exam is one of the most competitive law entrance exams to undertake as it helps students get into some of the best law colleges in the country. It is very important for students to be thoroughly prepared when attempting the CLAT exam. The weekend is a very important timeframe that can be strategically used to help improve students’ overall performance on the CLAT exam. This article highlights how students can effectively use weekends to the best they can to thoroughly prepare for the CLAT 2026 examination.

CLAT 2026 Why to Utilize Weekends?

Students who are preparing for the CLAT examination should aim to utilize weekends to the best of their abilities. For students who are preparing for either CLAT UG or PG, weekends offer a lot more time and act as a break from either school or work, depending on what they are doing. While aspiring students should use this time to recharge, utilizing some of this time preparing for the CLAT exam can be of huge help to them getting into their desired NLUs and courses. Dedicating 2 hours in the morning and evening on each day of the weekend can help students prepare for the exam effectively while not compromising their well-needed rest during these two days.

CLAT Morning Slot Tips

The morning slot for preparing for the CLAT examination could be at any point of the day before 12pm and after 6am, depending on a student’s preference. Provided below are some tips for students to prepare for the CLAT exam during this time slot:

  • Know What To Tackle Beforehand: At any point of the week or even the night before, students should note down what they aim to study or work on for their CLAT preparation. Having an idea about which section or topic is going to be worked on before is highly useful as it helps students have goals for the day and be more motivated. It causes students to spend less mental energy on thinking about what to do, which can be draining, especially in the mornings.
  • Mock Tests:The mornings are the best time for students to tackle mock tests as they will be filled with a lot more energy and enthusiasm. Mocks are an essential aspect for the preparation of any exam, but especially CLAT as they help in developing speed as well as accuracy. Practicing mock tests during the mornings is highly helpful due to a student’s fresher state of mind and renewed energy. The extra-energy of the morning can also help aspiring students cover more ground of the exam a lot quicker. It is recommended for students to time their mock tests in the mornings.
  • Current Affairs:The weekend is an especially good time for students to work on the current affairs and general knowledge section of the CLAT exam. It becomes easier for students to research and compile all the relevant events that have taken place across the week. The morning slot can be especially helpful as students can do so using the morning news channels or newspapers which can make working on this section less draining.

CLAT Evening Slot Tips

The evening slot for the preparation of the CLAT examination could be anywhere between 4pm to 8pm ideally. Ideally, students should begin this slot some time after they have had their lunch, to ensure they aren’t tired or sleepy. If needed, students may even take a nap before beginning to reset their energy in case they feel the need.

The CLAT evening slot preparation tips are as follows:

  • Strengths and Weaknesses:This is especially important if students undertook a mock test in the earlier slot. Students should thoroughly go through their given mock test for the CLAT exam and analyze where they’re strong in and where they’re weak in. Doing so can help in building confidence with relation to the topics they have a stronger footing in. For the subjects where students know they haven’t performed as well in and see scope to improve, they should note these topics down and focus on improving them in the coming weeks to help their preparation.
  • Light Revision:If students did heavy revision of any topic during the morning session, the evening slot for preparing can be used as light revision. For instance, if a student practiced Quantitative Aptitude in the morning, they may use flashcards or simple notes to help in their revision for important formulas of the topic they covered during the day. This helps in reducing fatigue but still keeping up with their revision for the CLAT exam.
  • Weekly Progress: Using the evening to keep track of their overall preparation progress for the CLAT exam is highly useful. Students can identify where they are falling behind, which topics need more focus than others, how much of the syllabus is left and so on. Taking time to properly reflect on what they were able to prepare for throughout the week or month can help in boosting students’ motivation to prepare for the CLAT examination better.
