Why is CLAT Held in a Single Shift?
The CLAT exam is held across one single shift for the sake of simplicity of logistics for the exam. The Consortium of NLUs does not have to take shifts and normalization into account when marking for the CLAT exam if it is held across one single shift. This also ensures uniformity and students having a similar exam experience across the country, regardless of their allotted exam center. All of these factors make it more appealing to the Consortium for holding the CLAT exam in a single shift at the same time across the entire country.
