The Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) Class 12 History syllabus for the academic year 2025-26 is out. Students and teachers can download the PDF from the official website, ahsec.assam.gov.in. The syllabus comprises course structure, unit-wise content, and objectives for each unit.
Section A, covering Units 1-4, focuses on Archaeology, Ancient India, and Assam through the ages, comprising 35 marks and spanning 65 periods. Section B, detailing Medieval India through Units 5-9, allocates 25 marks and 60 periods. Section C, dedicated to Modern India through Units 10-15, accounts for 30 marks over 60 periods. Additionally, Unit 16 emphasises Map Work, holding 10 marks over 15 periods. This structured approach ensures students gain a well-rounded perspective on India’s historical evolution, preparing them for higher education and fostering a deeper appreciation of the nation's heritage.
