Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth (TMV) is a university located in the city of Pune, India. It was established in 1921 by freedom fighter Lokmanya Tilak and aims to promote education and research in various fields. It is declared as deemed to be university under section 3 of UGC Act 1956. It is reaccredited by NAAC with B+ grade. TMV is approved by University Grants Commission (UGC).
Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth Admissions are conducted through MAH MCA. They offer undergraduate and postgraduate programs in subjects such as Arts, Science, Commerce, Social Work, Education, Law, and Management. The university also has a strong focus on research and has several research centers and institutes. For admissions in undergraduate and postgraduate courses, candidate must clear the entrance exam ‘Common Entrance Test’ conducted by Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth. For M. Phil. /Ph.D., admission is open during every academic year in the months of June/July. Admissions are based on interview process. At UG and PG levels, TMV Pune offers a total of 56 courses across 14 streams.
