Periyar University, Salem Admission 2026-27 : Eligibility, Admission Process and Timeline

Every year, Periyar University (Salem, Tamil Nadu) announces its admissions forUndergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG), Research (PhD / MPhil), and Distance / Open & Distance Learning (ODL / CDOE) programs. Steps in the Admission Process

1. Notification and Prospectus:The university publishes an admission notification and prospectus for the session (e.g., 2025-26), which specifies courses, eligibility, application dates, and so on.
2. Online Application Form:The University website is the platform through which applicants complete the form online.
3. Submission of Hard Copy:Following online submission, many UG/PG admissions require printouts / hard copies of the application along with self-attested documents (marksheets, community certificate, transfer certificate, etc.).
4. Entrance / CET / Interview (if applicable): For PhD, entrance test and interview. some of the courses may require admission tests or state exams. Otherwise, previous degree merit/marks are considered.
5. Based on merit, entrance rank etc. Seats allotted via department or University Departments / PG Centres (such as Dharmapuri) as applicable.
