Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture & Technology, Kanpur Admission 2025-2026: Eligibility, Admission Process and Timeline

Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture & Technology (CSA Kanpur), also known as CSA University, is one of the top agriculture universities in Uttar Pradesh. The only way of admission in this university is through a state-level entrance exam known as the Uttar Pradesh Combined Agriculture and Technology Entrance Test (UPCATET). The admission process is based on merit, reservation category, and course eligibility.

UPCATET – Entrance Exam for CSA Kanpur Admission

The UPCATET is conducted annually for undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes offered by CSA Kanpur and other agriculture universities in Uttar Pradesh. This exam is organised by rotation among the state agriculture universities. In 2025, it will be conducted by Acharya Narendra Deva University of Agriculture and Technology (ANDUAT), Kumarganj, Ayodhya.

Candidates who wish to apply for CSA Kanpur admission must register for UPCATET and appear for the test in their respective programme category (UG/PG/PhD).

After the declaration of UPCATET results, candidates are required to participate in the counselling process. The counselling involves:

Reservation norms are also followed by CSA Kanpur, these norms are set by the Uttar Pradesh government during seat distribution. Some seats are reserved for domicile candidates, wards of farmers, freedom fighters, and differently abled students.

CSA Kanpur Counselling Process

• Candidates who qualify UPCATET must register for counselling on the official UPCATET portal.
• Seat allotment is published round-wise.
• After the seats are allotted, students are asked to submit their documents like the mark sheets, certificates, ID proof, caste certificate etc. for verification.
• As soon as the documents are verified, candidates can download the provisional allotment letter and report to CSA Kanpur for final admission.
