The wait for NEET UG 2025 counselling candidates has stretched a little longer, but now there’s a fixed date to look forward to. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has officially announced that the Round 1 seat allotment result will be declared on August 11, 2025.
Yes, the schedule has been moved around more than once, leaving students on edge. But this time, the MCC seems certain. The key reason for this shuffle? The choice filling and locking deadline was extended to August 9 (till 11:59 PM), with the locking window open from 6 PM to 11:59 PM on the same day. This gave aspirants one last opportunity to refine their preferences, a move that many students have welcomed.
So, What Happens on August 11?
Once the result is declared, head straight to mcc.nic.in and look for the “Round 1 Seat Allotment Result” link. Log in with your NEET roll number/application ID and password. Your allotment letter will be right there, download it and keep a screenshot or a printed copy handy, because you’ll need it in the reporting stage.
Pay close attention to the reporting guidelines that follow, as dates will be tied directly to your allotment.
Why the Delay This Time?
The postponement didn’t happen without reason. This round faced a mix of technical glitches, court case interruptions, and special requests from NRI and CW (Children of War) applicants. MCC chose to give more time to ensure fairness, making sure no category of students was left disadvantaged. While delays can be frustrating, this move has likely helped many candidates finalise their best possible choices.
Below is a quick recap of the updated schedule so far:
Event | Original Date | Revised Date |
Choice Filling & Locking | – | August 9, 6 PM – 11:59 PM |
