The last date to apply for MTech and PhD programs at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Banaras Hindu University (BHU) for academic session for 2025 has been extended. They can now apply till April 9, 2025. Candidates having qualified for GATE 2025 or intending to take the written examination can fill out the online application form available at the official website — pgadmission. iitbhu. ac. in. The extension grants eligible candidates some additional time to complete their applications and ensure that every information is filled out correctly.
The application fee is for General, OBC-Non Creamy Layer, and General-EWS candidates: INR 500. For candidates from SC, ST, and PWD categories is INR 250. The fee is non-refundable and should be paid online. The list of shortlisted and waitlisted candidates will be published on the website on May 8, 2025.

IIT BHU MTech Admission 2025: How to Apply for IIT BHU PhD Admission 2025?
Candidates applying for IIT BHU MTech Admission 2025 should follow the following steps:
- Visit the official Website: pgadmission. iitbhu. ac. in
- Portal Registration & Login: New Users shall register themselves on the portal using a valid email ID. Upon registration, use your sign-in details to log in to the application form.
- Personal Details: Choose the required program, then submit your basic personal details. Upload a passport-size photo and signature as instructed.
- Enter COAP ID (MTech applicants): You will need to enter your COAP Registration ID if applying for M.Tech in the Full-Time Regular category.
- Application Fee: Pay the application fee online using net banking, debit card,, or credit card.
- Academic & Exam Details: Enter details of the education level & GATE / GPAT score (or other qualifying exam), and even work experience if needed.
- Save and Submit: Carefully review your form. Do save your changes at intervals and submit the application. Keep a copy for your records after you submit it.
Note: In the form candidates need to fill all mandatory fields.. Write “-NA-” or “-Nil-” as appropriate, in any section that does not apply to you. The system will not accept incomplete or incorrect forms.
