Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) has formally commenced the registration process for its Undergraduate (UG) and Certificate of Proficiency (COP) programmes for the 2025–26 academic year. Candidates who appeared in the CUET‑UG 2025 examination are eligible to apply through the university’s official admission portal atjnuee.jnu.ac.in.
The application period began onJuly 8, 2025, and will end at 11:50 p.m. IST onJuly 15, 2025.After that, fromJuly 16 to July 17, 2025, there will be a two-day correction window during which applicants can use the same portal to alter information on their filed forms.
Admissions to all UG and COP programmes will be determined solely on the basis of CUET‑UG 2025 scores. The first merit list is expected to be released in thethird week of July, approximately onJuly 23, 2025. Candidates named in the list will have the opportunity to complete pre-enrolment registration and fee payment fromJuly 23 to July 25 .
Physical verification of documents for candidates shortlisted in the first merit list will take place onJuly 30 and 31, and August 1 for UG programmes, and onAugust 4 for COP courses. A second merit list, including supernumerary seats, is scheduled forAugust 1, with subsequent pre‑enrolment and verification dates planned into early August.
Candidates are required to refer to the e‑Prospectus, which is available on the admission portal and main JNU website, for details on eligibility criteria, seat matrix, and documentation requirements. JNU has sent out warnings asking candidates to make sure their applications are accurate and comprehensive and to frequently check the official website for notices of revisions and the merit list.
