Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Ranchi has released the final placement reports of the 2024-25 year. The placement season this year came with some good news for all MBA, MBA-HR, and MBA-Business Analytics course students with increased companies engaging, improved salary packages, and increased pre-placement offers.
Record-Breaking Highest Salary Offered
The highest annual package this year has been Rs. 50.39 lakh, up by 33% from the previous year. This was offered to an MBA student.
Rise in Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs)
There was a huge surge in PPOs, i.e., offers offered to students prior to the final placement process. Almost 30% of MBA-HR students and 19.8% of MBA students were offered PPOs. It is indicative of the fact that students impressed the companies during internships and were offered jobs in advance.
96 Companies Participated in Recruiting
96 companies participated in the placement process. The companies placed students from all three flagship courses:
- MBA
- MBA in Human Resources (MBA-HR)
- MBA in Business Analytics
Placement Statistics: Women and Freshers Have Healthy Representation
Out of the total students placed, 59% were freshers and 31% were women. This indicates the diversity and preparedness of the batch.
Higher Average Salary Offered to Top Students
The top 10% students who secured the highest paying jobs were offered an average salary 7.7% more than previous year.
The highest paid 25% students also got a 6.6% hike in average salary.
Leading Sectors That Hired Maximum Students
Companies from various sectors came to recruit the students. BFSI and Fintech sectors hired maximum students. Other sectors that hired maximum students include:
- Consulting
- E-commerce
- FMCG
- IT and Software
- Manufacturing
Strategy and Consulting firms saw a growth of 33.33%, and Sales and Marketing PPOs saw a growth of 28.6%.
