About the Job
About the role:We're looking for a Content Writer who lives and breathes B2B SaaS storytelling. This is not a role for someone who just writes - it's for someone who understands how content drives the pipeline, ranks on Google, and builds brand authority in competitive markets.
You'll work directly with our founder to produce content across the marketing and sales funnel - from SEO-driven blog posts and thought leadership pieces to email sequences, landing pages, and LinkedIn content.
Key responsibilities:
SEO & Organic Content
Research, plan, and write long-form SEO content (blogs, guides, pillar pages) targeting B2B SaaS personas and high-intent keywords.
Conduct keyword research using tools like Ahrefs, SEMrush, or similar — and translate findings into content briefs and outlines.
Optimize existing content for search intent, on-page SEO, and content freshness.
Build internal linking structures that improve crawlability and topical authority.
Track content performance (rankings, traffic, CTR) and iterate based on data.
B2B Marketing & Sales Content
Write website copy, landing pages, and product pages that speak directly to ICP pain points and conversion goals.
Create email sequences for nurture campaigns, cold outbound, and lifecycle marketing flows.
Develop sales enablement assets — one-pagers, case studies, battlecards, and proposal templates.
Translate complex SaaS product features into clear, benefit-led messaging for non-technical buyers.
Thought Leadership & Brand Content
Write LinkedIn posts, newsletters, and editorial content that builds Propel's and our clients' brand authority.
Ghost-write founder and executive content that reflects a distinct POV - not generic takes.
Contribute to content calendars and editorial planning with a strategic lens.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with strategists, designers, and account managers to align content with campaign goals.
Participate in client briefings and extract the insight needed to write with authenticity and specificity.
Give and receive feedback to sharpen content quality across the team.
Skills
Hands-on experience with SEO tools: Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console, or similar.
Comfortable using AI writing tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Jasper, etc.) as a productivity layer — not a replacement for thinking.
Familiarity with CMS platforms (WordPress, Webflow, HubSpot, or similar).
Basic understanding of email marketing platforms (Klaviyo, HubSpot, Mailchimp, etc.) is a plus.
Google Analytics or equivalent for tracking content performance.
