About the Role:
As a Systems Engineering Intern, you’ll work directly on the integration, testing, and operational deployment of multiple UAV designs under development. This is a hands-on role that will expose you to real-world engineering challenges in UAV systems, component compatibility, vendor interactions, and regulatory documentation. You'll support field-testing, working closely with the mechanical, avionics, and propulsion teams to ensure seamless system functionality and performance.
Selected intern’s day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Assist in system integration and testing of UAV platforms—across mechanical, electronic, and software subsystems.
2. Support in evaluating and validating OEM components (autopilots, sensors, ESCs, power modules, etc.).
3. Help identify suitable vendors, liaise with them, and manage outsourcing of key design elements.
4. Participate in UAV assembly, pre-flight checks, troubleshooting, and field deployments.
5. Contribute to documentation efforts including system architecture, test protocols, integration reports, and regulatory paperwork.
6. Support the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and operational checklists.
7. Work closely with cross-disciplinary teams to resolve integration challenges.
