About the Internship
You'll be building a tick ingestion platform — a data pipeline that captures live market data for 500 NSE/MCX instruments via the Zerodha Kite Connect API. The stack is a Python monorepo (FastAPI microservices, async SQLAlchemy, TimescaleDB) deployed on AWS using Docker Compose and Terraform.This is a hands-on engineering role, not a support role. You'll write code that ships to production.
What You'll Work On
- Data-ingestion service — Alembic migrations, repository layer, instrument upsert logic, and health/readiness endpoints
- Broker-authentication service — implementing the stubbed Kite Connect login, TOTP generation, and token-exchange flows
- Infra Terraform modules — filling in placeholder stubs for EC2, IAM, Secrets Manager, ECR, EventBridge scheduler, and CloudWatch monitoring
- CI/CD — maintaining GitHub Actions pipelines (lint → Trivy → pytest → Docker build), keeping coverage above 70%
- Tooling and docs — keeping DATABASE.md and INFRA.md in sync with what's actually built
