About the Internship
Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:A. Track 1: System architecture & component integration:
1. Define EE system requirements considering functional safety and vehicle-level needs
2. Evaluate components for integration (controllers, sensors, harnesses, etc.)
3. Collaborate on system-level design, vehicle wiring strategy, and subsystem interconnects
4. Create documentation and validation plans for architecture decisions
5. Software flashing in controllers and CAN dbc verification
B. Track 2: Hardware & PCB development:
1. Test electronic boards for key control units (MCU, BMS, VCU, Telematics)
2. Study schematic and PCB layouts, including power and signal routing
3. Conduct board bring-up, testing, and design validation
4. Work with manufacturing teams to resolve design-for-manufacturability (DFM) issues
C. Track 3: Wiring harness design & packaging:
1. Design and route both Low-Voltage and High-Voltage wiring harnesses
2. Generate 2D drawings and support 3D packaging using CAD tools (SolidWorks Electrical, CATIA V5/NX)
3. Select connectors, terminals, and cable protections based on system specs
4. Define fuse distribution, grounding strategy, and component mounting positions
5. Coordinate with testing and production teams for validation and release
