At FlipSpaces, we have real-world image + vision problems where the right models can create a major edge. Your mission: research, experiment, benchmark, and recommend the best vision/image-model approaches so we stay ahead of the curve and ship working prototypes.
Key use cases at FlipSpaces:
1. Read floor layouts, extract space names, and pin them accurately on the layout.
2. Generate interior design concepts/variations from brief, moodboard, or reference
images.
3. Image-to-image edits: material swaps, furniture replacement, lighting changes.
4. Consistency across outputs (style lock, multi-iteration stability) for the same
space/brand.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Research and experiment with text-to-image and image-to-image models.
2. Evaluate and experiment with newer model families and releases (open + proprietary), including Nano Banana and Gemini vision/image capabilities.
3. Fine-tune diffusion architectures (e.g., SD / SDXL) and tune hyperparameters.
4. Work with LoRA, DreamBooth, ControlNet, inpainting and outpainting pipelines.
5. Explore prompting strategies (prompt structure, negative prompting, prompt iteration, style/consistency prompting).
6. Manipulate CFG guidance, samplers, schedulers, and conditioning strategies to improve consistency/editability.
7. Build and evaluate custom inference pipelines for different use cases.
8. Benchmark models across quality, consistency, latency, and cost.
9. Compare open-source vs proprietary image models and document trade-offs clearly.
10. Continuously track and discover new models/tools in the image/vision ecosystem and validate them quickly.
What success looks like:
1. Clear recommendations on which models + pipelines work best for each FlipSpaces use case.
2. Well-documented experiments, benchmarks, and working prototypes.
3. Helping define the direction of FlipSpaces' image/vision capabilities.
