By: Sakshi Awasthi on September 14, 2018

The NMAT Score is accepted for admissions in full-time postgraduate management programmes offered by NMIMS Mumbai, Hyderabad and Bengaluru. NMAT Score is also accepted by other B-schools such as Alliance University, Amity University, ICFAI University, Thapar University and many others.

The candidate can take the examination 3 times during an academic year but there should be a gap of 15 days between two attempts. If the candidate is not satisfied with his/her performance in the first attempt, then he can appear for other attempts by following the guidelines mentioned by the institute.

Both General Preparation Tips and Section wise preparation tips of NMAT has been mentioned for the ease of the student-

Section- Wise Preparation Tips

  1. Language Proficiency:

The NMAT Language Proficiency features Reading Comprehension, Sentence Completion, Vocabulary and Para Jumbles in an almost equal proportion. In Verbal Ability, the questions are direct and knowledge-based, rather than being inference-based. So, the Vocabulary part and other direct questions assume importance here. Normal Lewis's Word Power Made Easy is strongly advised for those keen on the improvement of their vocabulary. For grammar, the classic High School Grammar by Wren and Martin is a tried and tested companion.
  2. Quantitative Ability:

One can start with Class 5-10 NCERT books, Arun Sharma's Quant book can be really helpful.
  3. Logical ReaReasoning:

Aggarwal's books on Logical Reasoning. In the NMAT exam pattern, Data Interpretation may be heavy on calculations but is quite easy.
