Manipal Academy of Higher Education also known as Manipal University is becoming one of the popular colleges of the country which won many awards and recognition in a very short time span. Currently, there are over 28,000 students from 57 different countries who are part of the institute. As the competition is very high and the institute wants to enroll the deserving ones, it conducts its own entrance tests for admissions in various courses.  Candidates qualifying the examination and selection process are only eligible for admission in any of the programmes offered at Manipal University.  Anyone seeking

The exam earlier uses to be called Manipal University Online Entrance Exam (MU-OET). Seats are allotted on basis of rank achieved in the entrance exam.

Manipal University Courses includes B. Tech in a variety of stream, B. Sc. in multiple streams, Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT), M. Tech degree programme, MSc. in multiple disciplines, B. Arch., B. Des, BA, MA, MBBS, MD, MS, PG  in Medical Diploma, MPhil, DM, Bachelor of Audiology and Speech Pathology (BASLP), Bachelor of Cardiovascular Technology (BSc CVT). Candidate needs to take subject-specific MET to apply for the courses.

MET Application process usually starts from September Month followed by the release of MET Admit Card in the month of March. The final examination is being conducted in the month of April. The session usually starts from June to July.

MU OET 2019 Eligibility

Eligibility Criteria to apply for MET totally depends on nature, of course, applied for at Manipal University. Pointing out one common eligibility criteria to apply for the examination is that there is no age limit and enthusiastic aspirants can apply for the entrance test irrespective of the age. Some of the common MU-OET Eligibility are mentioned below:

  • Candidates seeking admission in a graduate course needs to have qualified 10+2 from a recognized board to apply.
  • Candidates applying should have physics and chemistry and English as a mandatory subject in 10+2 with Mathematics and/or Biology.
  • The minimum required percentage to apply is 50% I last qualifying examination.
  • To apply for a postgraduate programme candidate needs to have a graduation degree in the relevant field with at least 50% marks.

Application Fees

Aspirants of MU OET needs to complete the MET Application Procedure by paying the requisite application fee. It is important to know that the application procedure will be considered incomplete if a candidate pays the fee. Here are some points to be considered for paying MET Application Fee:

  • Application fee of MU OET is Rs. 600.
  • Candidate needs to pay Rs. 1400 for the entrance test.
  • Payment can be made online through debit/credit card, net banking, Paytm etc.
  • Candidates can also make the payment using Demand Draft (DD) made in favor of “Manipal University”, payable at either Manipal or Udupi.
  • Candidates who wish to make payment through DD have to take a print copy of the application form and send the same along with DD to Director, Indian Admissions, Room No. 102, Manipal University, Manipal – 576 104 Karnataka, India

MU OET 2019 Admit Card

Candidates can download their Manipal University Online Entrance Test Admit Card by following steps:

  1. The e-hall ticket of MU OET will not be sent either via post or fax.
  2. 2.No candidate will be permitted to appear for the test without a valid MU OET e-hall ticket.
  3. Please ensure that all information on the e-hall ticket including photograph is clearly visible.
  4. MU OET e-hall ticket is an important document it must be preserved and produced at the time of counseling/admission.

MU OET 2019 Exam Pattern

MET also known as MU OET conducted by Manipal University is an online entrance examination. The entire question paper consists of a total of 200 questions from the topics of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, English and General Aptitude. Total time allotted to candidates for solving the entire question paper is two hours and 30 minutes.

Key Highlight of MET Exam Pattern:

  • All the examination of MET (earlier MU OET) is conducted in the English language.
  • The nature of the question asked in the examination is of objective type, where the candidate will be given a total of four options for each question and candidate needs to select the correct one as per there understanding.
  • Unlike other entrance examination, there is no negative marking in MET.
  • For MET of all other courses (except M Tech and ME) each carries 1 marks and candidate will be allotted complete 1 mark on the correct answer.
  • As mentioned, for M Tech and ME candidates will be allotted 4 marks for each correct answer, every question carries 4 marks.

MU OET 2019 Counseling Details

  1. While booking the centers via the MU OET Online Test Booking system, candidates will also have to book the counseling venue.
  2. Candidates may check Counselling Schedule of the MU OET below to know the ranks of the candidates who shall be asked to report.
  3. Only the candidates whose ranks shall be included in the counselling schedule will be required to attend the counselling.
  4. Candidates who will be shortlisted need to attend the MU OET Counselling in person and shall have to fill the Registration Form at the counter.
  5. During the MU OET Counselling Procedure, only the candidates/representative will be allowed to participateCounselling of MU OET 2018 will be in the order of the Manipal University Online Entrance Test Ranks and seats offered will be as per availability after biometric verification and document verification.
  6. Candidates who shall be allotted a seat but wish to be waitlisted for another course can take the admissions for the seat and also apply for waitlisting.
  7. MU OET Counselling Procedure for Round 2, Round 3 and Round 4.
  8. Choice Filling: Tentatively from the first week of July.
  9. Candidates shall have to log in with their MU OET application number and OTBS password (shall be received while booking the test slots for MUOET).
  10. Candidates will need to fill the choices of their preference.
  11. Candidates may change the options any number of times within the specified period.
  12. The last updated preferences will be taken into consideration for the succeeding round.
  13. Candidates are advised to take a printout of their option list for future reference.
  14. Candidates will be informed individually about the upgradation, first time allotments, and status quo after each round.
  15. E-mails will be sent to the registered e-mail IDs and SMS will be sent to the registered mobile numbers.Candidates may check Counselling Schedule of the MU OET below to know the ranks of the candidates who shall be asked to report.

8.Medical fitness certificate from a physician with MD qualification(for BSc Nursing applicants only)

9.Diploma marks card and Diploma certificate from the Board/ University (for lateral entry - BTech/ BPharm applicants only)
