Candidates can apply for admission to engineering diploma, B.Tech, and M.Tech programs. To apply for admission at Walchand College of Engineering Sangli, aspirants must meet the eligibility requirements and complete the application form accessible on the college’s official website. Walchand College of Engineering B.Tech Admission 2023
Walchand students can study a B.Tech in one of six distinct concentrations. The primary entrance requirement is successfully completing the class 12th examination from a recognized Board with a minimum aggregate of 45%. MHT CET/ JEE Main score is used for selection. Seats are assigned through a coordinated counseling procedure at the state level.

- Students must apply online through the Maharashtra Directorate of Technical Education.
- The candidates are shortlisted based on the DTE’s Centralized Admission Process (CAP).
Walchand College of Engineering Ph.D. Programs Admissions 2023
Walchand is a reputed SUK Research Center that provides Ph.D. programs in various engineering fields. The institution currently has 69 Ph.D. students enrolled.

Ph.D. | Electronics Engineering Electrical Engineering Computer Science & Engineering | Admission requires a valid master’s degree from a recognized with at least a 40% aggregate score. | SUK requires Ph.D. applicants to participate in an Entrance Test and Interview Process. For admission consideration, the entrance exam is given 70% weightage, and interview performance is given 30% weightage. The Department Research Committee/Central Research Committee (DRC/ CRC) oversees the Ph.D. selection process. Candidates who pass the entrance exam advance to the interview process. The DRC/CRC prepares the general merit list for the program based on the candidate’s combined performance in the entrance test and the interview. Please keep in mind that a small number of students are enrolled through AICTE’s QIP Research Centre and are not required to participate in the university selection process.

Walchand College of Engineering Ph.D. Programs Admission Process
- Candidates must hold a master’s degree in a relevant discipline from a recognized university.
- Candidates must take a Common Entrance Test and an Interview/Viva-Voce at Shivaji University in Kolhapur.
- Candidates accepted through AICTE’s QIP Research Center do not need to take the CET.
- Admissions will be handled by the (Departmental Research Committee/Central Research Committee).
How to Apply to Walchand College of Engineering 2023
- Admission to Walchand’s various programs is done through the Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra’s Centralized Admission Process (CAP).
- Application and Admission Procedures for Diploma/B. Tech/M. Tech
- Diploma and B. Tech applications are submitted electronically via the DTE website. M. Tech candidates must also apply to DTE in order to take the CAP.
- Upload the required papers, pay the application cost, submit the completed form, and print the confirmation page.
- After passing the MHT CET, undergraduate candidates must take the CAP to be shortlisted and assigned seats based on their entrance score and course/college preferences. The CAP also allocates seats to GATE-eligible individuals.
- Shortlisted candidates must thereafter report to the Application Form Receipt Centre (ARC) in accordance with the CAP Rounds.
- Finally, students report to the designated institution for admission with the necessary paperwork and money before the deadline.
- To qualify for B. Tech, Maharashtra residents must take the MHT CET. Candidates who take JEE Main are, nevertheless, also eligible to take the CAP.
- Candidates from Maharashtra as well as from outside Maharashtra State (OMS) who wish to pursue M. Tech at Walchand must take the GATE.
Walchand College of Engineering Scholarship
The State and Central Governments paid the whole tuition for Walchand students. Assistance is given to meritorious Walchand students in a variety of ways:
- 50% Undergraduate (State Government) and 100% Postgraduate (Central Government) students
- Physically challenged students are given priority for on-campus housing.
- On the ground level, there are lecture and examination halls.
- Book bank programs, for example, can help SC/ST pupils.
