Presidency University, a public state university located in Kolkata, West Bengal, has a rich history dating back to its establishment in 1817. The university provides a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs, including BA (Hons), B.Sc (Hons), MA, and M.Sc, offered in full-time mode.

To apply for the courses offered at Presidency University, interested candidates can fill out the application form online through the official West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) portal.

Admission to BA (Hons) and B.Sc (Hons) programs is based on candidates’ performance in the Presidency University Bachelor Degree Entrance Test (PUBDET), which is conducted by WBJEEB.

For MA and M.Sc courses, candidates’ scores in the Presidency University Master Degree Entrance Test (PUMDET), also conducted by WBJEEB, are taken into consideration.

The final admission to the programs is determined by the candidates’ merit in PUBDET/PUMDET, followed by counseling rounds for the shortlisted candidates. The merit list is prepared by WBJEEB specifically for Presidency University candidates.

In addition to undergraduate and postgraduate courses, Presidency University also offers Ph.D. programs. Admission to the Ph.D. courses is based on candidates’ performance in the CSIR NET/UGC NET examinations.

Final admission to the Ph.D. program involves an interview round conducted by the admission committee for the shortlisted candidates. The selection process ensures that deserving candidates are given the opportunity to pursue their research interests at Presidency University.

Not worth the money ! 2/5

Not worth the money ! Students don’t even have proper facilities like canteen and washrooms. They make you pay around a lakh and provide an unsatisfactory service. Students are told to sit in the canteen during breaks which only has seating for around 100 students.
