NIT Raipur, Raipur Admission
The Admission procedure of National Institute of Technology Raipur is followed by a simple procedure which must be completed by the candidates seeking admission to different courses offered by the institute. The NIT Raipur Courses include undergraduate and postgraduate programs under various specializations, admission to each program varies. The institute also offers programs at Doctorate level. The basic eligibility criteria to take part in the admission procedure are;
Candidates seeking admission to the undergraduate program are required to have passed senior secondary school from a recognized board securing at least 75% marks in aggregate
For admission to postgraduate programs, the candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree in the relevant field from a recognized university
Admission to B. Tech
The undergraduate program offered by the NIT Raipur is B. Tech. The program is offered under 12 various specializations, candidates can choose the specialization as per their interests.
- The candidates seeking admission to B. Tech are required to have secured at least 75% marks in aggregate from a recognized board
- The candidates must have appeared and qualified JEE Main examination
- Candidates who have a valid score of JEE Main will be shortlisted for an interview process
- The final selection of t5he candidates is based on their academic scores and their performance in a personal interview conducted by the Institute

Admission to M. Tech and MCA
The NIT Raipur offers M. Tech and MCA programs at postgraduate level. M. Tech is offered under seven various specializations.
- For admission to M. Tech, the candidates are required to have possessed a bachelor’s degree in the relevant field securing at least 60% marks from a recognized university
- The candidates are required to have appeared and qualified GATE examination
- They must have a valid score in GATE examination for further process
- Candidates who wish to take admission to MCA programs are required to have a bachelor’s degree in the relevant field from a recognized university
- For the further procedure, the candidates must have a valid score of NIMCET, which is a National Level Test conducted by the NITs for admission to MCA programs
- The candidates must have scored at least 60% marks in B. Sc/BCA/BIT Math/Statistics/BE/B. Tech in order to be eligible for NIMCET examination
- After clearing the respective examination, the candidates are shortlisted for the counseling process

Admission to Ph.D.
Ph.D. program is offered by the NIT Raipur at Doctorate level. The program is offered under various specializations. The admission procedure and eligibility criteria are as following;
- The minimum educational qualification required by the institute is to have a master’s degree in the field of Engineering/Technology/Science/Management/Humanities/Social Science from a recognized university
- The candidates must have secured at least 60% marks in aggregate in the final qualifying examination
- The shortlisted candidates are advised to have qualified the objective type written examination conducted by the institute followed by interview round
- Candidates seeking admission to Ph.D. program should download the application form by visiting the official website of NIT Raipur and after the form is filled, it must be sent to the concerned authority of the institute along with the DD drawn in favor of “Director, NIT Raipur” payable at Raipur

Application procedure
The candidates must visit the official website of NIT Raipur for the application form. The form is to be filled online and the candidates must ensure that they fulfill the eligibility criteria defined by the university
- Candidates seeking admission to B. Tech must have a valid score of JEE Main examination
- For M. Tech and MCA, the candidates must hold a valid score of GATE and NIMCET examination
- The documents required are 10thand 12thmarksheets and passing certificates, scorecard of the entrance examination, passport sized photographs, character certificate, migration certificate (if required), category certificate and migration certificate

Lovely place to be
Placement: Placement is really good for the college, specially for CS and IT branch. It is almost 100 percent. Average salary is around 5.5LPA and maximum goes up to 20LPA.
