About National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), Delhi
The National Institute of Fashion Technology is a group of institutes conducting fashion courses in India. The NIFT Delhi was established in the academic year of 1986. The institute is affiliated to Ministry of Textiles and was established with the approval of the Government of India. The institute initially started with only one program of fashion designing in its first session. Currently, there are sixteen campuses and the NIFT, Delhi is the main campus (Headquarter and University head office). Hostel facilities are given to the students coming from out of the city. Though currently, the institute does provide only Girls' hostel and no hostel facility for boys is available.

The faculty members of the institute are well educated and highly qualified in their respective fields. The course curriculum is wide depending on the specializations.
