Lal Bahadur Shastri National Award for Excellence is bestowed every year byThe President of India or The Vice President of India at their official residence, to an individual who has excelled in his/her vocation. Recent recipients included Smt. Rajashree Birla (CSR Initiatives), Dr. Shiv K. Sarin (Health & Medicine), Dr. Bakul Dholakia (Educationalist), Dr. Randeep Guleria (Health & Medicine), Smt. Sudha Murthy (Philanthropy), Sh. Fali S. Nariman (Law), Smt. Manju Sharma (Biology), Late Dr. Bindeshwar Patak (Social Entrepreneurship).
Lal Bahadur Shastri Memorial Lecture is delivered annually to honour the values, vision, and memory of Bharat Ratna Sh. Lal Bahadur Shastri ji – the 2nd Prime Minister of India. Our recent speakers included Shri Suman Berry (NITI Aayog), Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu (Vice President of India), Shri Ravi Shankar (Social Reformer), Mr. Sunil Gavaskar (Cricketer) and His Holiness Shri Dalai Lama (Spiritual Leader).
Lalita Shastri Debate Competition is among India’s most reputed national debate competition on social issues held annually at LBSIM Delhi campus, in the memory of Smt. Lalita Shastri ji. The competition sees an enthusiastic participation from India’s leading institutes including IIMs, IITs, NITs and leading universities.
