Heritage Institute of technology is affiliated to MAKAUT , for getting admissions one has to appear for certain exams like WBJEE/JEE Main (For B.tech), JECA(For MCA), PGET (For M.tech).
Admission 2018 of B.tech :
Entrance Exam: WBJEE ( April 22, 2018)
JEE Main(April 15 & 16, 2018 (Online) & April 8, 2018 (Offline))
B.tech is a full 4yr degree course and has highest under computer science and electrical communication branch with 162 seats each.
Students should check the eligibility first before taking admissions in this course.
1. B.tech Admission 2018;
For admission into the B.Tech programme, the candidates must clear either WBJEE or JEE (Main) by CBSE. If qualified, the applicants should apply for their desired branch in the college by filling in the application form available at the college official website. The candidate must not forget to pay the necessary application fee.
Before application, the applicant must acquaint themselves with the eligibility criteria as well as other details of the programme. Selection to the programme will be based on merit. If the candidate qualifies any of the entrance exams, then they will be allotted a seat in the college during the counseling session. The candidate must report at the institution for the admission process. Candidates selected for admission must pay the tuition fee as well as any other fees prescribed by MAKAUT or the State Govt. The payment mode is a DD/Banker’s Cheque/Pay Order, drawn in favor of ‘Heritage Institute of Technology’, payable at Kolkata within the specified date.
Documents required in admission process:
1.Self-attested copies of :
- Allotment paper issued by WBJEE Board (2 sets)
- Income & Caste Certificate (if applicable)
- Age Proof Certificate X & XII or equivalent mark sheets
2.Photocopy of WBJEE/JEE Main Admit Card & Rank Card
3.Original Medical Fitness Certificate
4.Original Eye Certificate regarding ‘No Colour Blindness’ Character Certificate from the institution last attended
5.Photocopy of Blood Group Certificate
6.Four passport size color photographs Anti-ragging affidavits in the prescribed format downloaded from the college website.
2. M.tech Admissions 2018:
For admission into any of the branches of M.tech, the candidates must qualify the MAKAUT Post Graduate Entrance Test (PGET). Candidates with valid GATE score will need to fill in the application form and submit it to MAKAUT with the prescribed fees.
Qualified candidates will then have to apply for admission to the college by filling in the application form available on the college website. Submit the form along with the necessary fees within the stipulated time. Qualified candidates will be allotted seats in the college on the basis of merit. Candidates reporting at the college for admission must submit the relevant documents mentioned in the information sheet.

- Caste Certificate (if applicable) GATE score card for GATE qualified students

- All semester graduation/equivalent mark sheet

Candidates should remember to pay the tuition fee and all the other fees prescribed by the authorities at the time of admission. The payment mode is a DD/Banker’s Cheque/Pay Order, drawn in favor of ‘Heritage Institute of Technology’, payable at Kolkata within the specified date.
3.MCA Admission 2018;
Other than the engineering courses college also offers an MCA programme. HIT MCA has a seat intake of 60 seats and it is a three years full-time post-graduate course.
For admission to MCA, applicants must qualify the Joint Entrance Examination JECA by the WBJEE. Qualified students can apply to HIT by filling in and submitting the required application form along with the fee. These qualified applicants will be allotted seats at the time of counseling.
The selected candidates must report at the college for the admission process.

Candidates must also remember to make the initial deposit that must be made during admission. The payment mode is a DD/Banker’s Cheque/Pay Order, drawn in favor of ‘Heritage Institute of Technology’, payable at Kolkata within the specified date.
Heritage Institute of Technology Application Process
To apply for any of the courses offered by Heritage Institute of Technology, the applicants must first qualify the approved entrance examinations. If one qualifies in any of these tests then,

This college of mine was affiliated with the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology and I have got admission here on the result of the 12th Board and this year the course has completed and the annual fee of the college was Rs 42,000 per year but there were no jobs/placements in the college.
