Haldia Institute of Technology (HIT) is an Institute of ICARE, Haldia and is the 1st private educational institute of West Bengal which is approved of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated to the Maulana Abul Kalam Azad University of Technology, West Bengal (WBUT). The institute was established in the year 1996 to cater to the needs of technical education in the state. The institute foundation was made in Haldia, which is an industrial hub of developing industries in the Eastern part of India. The inception of the Haldia Institute of Technology (HIT) was done with the vision of “achieve Centre of Excellence in the field of Science, Technology and Management Education for creating dynamic human resources of global standards with capabilities of accepting new challenges.”
Since its establishment, Haldia Institute of Technology (HIT) is working continually to turn their vision into a reality and to produce highly qualified and industrially trained professional individuals in the field of Technology, Engineering and Social Science. HIT also understand the needs of advanced scientific research, it aims to promote and provide higher technologically oriented research in the fields of Technology, Applied Sciences as well as Social Science. It is to know that admissions in various streams of the college both graduate and postgraduate courses is done through the entrance examination, for example, to take admission in any stream of engineering WB-JEE is score is needed.
